Entering Ciúin Spa and Wellness Centre at the Slieve Russell Hotel Golf and Country Club is a visit to a world of luxury and relaxation through the senses.

We have been voted Yon Ka Destination Spa of the Year for 2005, this was based on spa ambience, feedback from clients, quality of treatments, retail sales, friendliness and dedication of our therapists.

The spa offers seventeen treatment rooms with an exclusive Hydrotherapy Area. Soothing music is piped throughout the spa to sustain an atmosphere of detachment from the outside world.

Ciúin means calm and quiet in Irish and each room is a luxurious spacedesigned to provide maximum comfort and relaxation. Colours of naturalgolden and sunny hue are used in each room, and subdued lighting makes eacharea a place to relax with a selection from one of the spa or beautytreatments available.

Everyone's needs are catered for. Whether they are preparing for a wedding day, deserving of a treat after pregnancy or just want to unwind from everyday stresses, there will be a treatment geared specifically for the occasion.

A twin treatment room is available for those who may be visiting the spatogether. The two rooms are connected by way of an almond shaped hatch, allowing participants to chat while undergoing a body treatment - perfect for a bride and groom preparing for their big day, a mother and daughter afternoon treat or just a couple of friends that want to unwind.

Men may indulge in the 'Golfers Therapy' described as an Aroma-Luxe massage that will soothe aching muscles followed by a 'Hydralessence Facial' which will restore dry skin after extreme weather conditions.

For instant stress relief, clients may indulge in an aroma back, head and scalp massage followed by an invigorating pedicure and leg treatment.

In addition to the treatment rooms, Ciúin Spa and Wellness Centre offersan exlusive Hydrotherapy Area which includes a Herb Sauna, Hammam, a Salt Grotto, Flotation Therapy, Hydrotherapy Spa and Health & Adventure Showers.

As a retreat for the mind, body and spirit visitors are asked to keep noise to a minimum. Mobile phones and electronic devices are switched off on entry.

The centre features a main walkway running down to a Hydrotherapy Spa. Off the walkway are a series of rooms with different purposes. Heated stone seating areas are placed throughout the Hydrotherapy Area.

The salt grotto includes a control to eject a fine mist of salts into the warm atmosphere which has the effect of easing respiratory conditions by clearing the airways.

Ciúin Spa and Wellness Centre also offers the specialised microdermabrasion skin treatment, it is the first establishment to offer this treatment in Co Cavan.
The treatment involves a jet of fine crystals that are vacuumed across the skin removing the dead and damaged skin cells. This treatment will leave you with a blemish free, soft, smoother, younger and brighter complexion. A facial can also be incorporated into this treatment using luxury products from either Molton Brown or Yon-Ka’s skin care range.

We have also introduced a second product range – Molton Brown. The Molton Brown Spa Journey is a trailor made treatment to suit all needs. Choose from a selection of therapies in the Renew, Radiance, Replenish or Regenerate journey, each of which is designed to restore well being to reinstate rhythm and harmony in body, mind and spirit.

So popular has the facility become that it is now recommended that customers book in advance of arrival at the Spa to secure a preferred choice of time.

The treatments and spa facilities are only available to persons aged sixteen years and more.

The Spa is open from Monday to Friday - 9am to 8pm, and Saturday - 9am to 7pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm.

Tucked away towards the back of the Slieve Russell Hotel, close to the Country Club, the spa can feel a million miles away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the hotel's daily activities.
