Situated about 40 minutes drive north of Dublin City and is certainly worth including in any Dublin based golf tour.
Seapoint golf Links is probably not as well known as its illustrious neighbours Baltray to the north and Portmarnock to the south, but is another piece of conclusive evidence as to why Golfing in Ireland can be a richly rewarding experience. If you scratch beneath the surface in Ireland you will unearth a wealth of golfing possibilities that rival any golf destination in the world.
Links golf is as unique as it is superb, I don’t think that enough praises can be sung about it, it is golf the way it should be – a lethal concoction of visually stunning landscape, natural features, dunes, pot bunkers and surprises, add a little wind to the mix and you will be intoxicated or hooked (if you pardon the pun!.
Seapoint is simply a pleasure to play, its hard to describe the holes as the next man will remember it differently.
Its good enough for Des Smyth who grew up close to Seapoint and plays on the Champions Tour, it’s a personal favourite of the authors and I am sure that you will love too!
