Bantry Bay Golf Course Golf Club

Club of the Month Archive

Bantry Bay Golf Club has been described as "one of the most spectacular golf courses in the world" and visitors have long been enthralled by the charms of West Cork and this delightful course.

If you have ever talked to a Cork man, you will have noticed that they are fiercely patriotic and proud of their heritage. It never takes too long to realise that they are from Cork.

Bantry Bay Golf Club

County Cork is one of the most beautiful and stunning counties in Ireland but "West Cork" is so spectacular that some people may class it as Ireland's 33rd county.

Full of great golf courses too including the world reknowned Fota Island Resort and the famous Old Head Golf Links, Cork offers a great deal in terms of golfing.

The phrase "hidden gems", my own mind is a little overused in golf travel circles, however, to arrive in Ireland, hire a car and play whatever golf courses you stumble across would leave the visitor entralled and exhilarated. They soon realise that there is more to Ireland than Ballybunion, Portmarnock, Lahinch and Royal Portrush.

Bantry Golf

Bantry Bay Golf Club is one of those reasons to be excited, it is a magnificent Christy O'Connor Jnr. designed parkland golf course overlooking the famous and stunning Bantry Bay.

A warm welcome awaits with fantastic golf holes and real hospitality as you navigate your way around one of the most scenic courses in Ireland.

The whole area is worth a visit and includes such famous sites as Gouganne Barra, Skibbereen, Glengarriff and Irelands only tropical Island - Garnish Island.
