Richly deserving its reputation for an excellent standard of presentation, Malone has played host to a number of tournaments and championships since its move to Ballydrain.
These include the Blaxnit Tournament (in which Tony Jacklin registered his first professional tournament victory here in 1966), the Irish Close Championship, the men's Senior Inter-Provincials, the All-Ireland Cups and Shields Finals, the Irish Senior Masters (with Gary Player and Tommy Horton among the victors) and the Senior Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship (in 1999).
Other facilities include a bowling green situated in a former walled garden, squash courts and a snooker room.
