This charming resort enjoys an idyllic setting in the delightful Irish countryside nine miles east of Carlow. The complex is an eclectic blend of contemporary design and lavish detail with a strong emphasis on quality and service. Opened in August 2004, the hotel boasts 142 luxury bedrooms, Restaurant, 2 Bars, extensive Conference & Banqueting Facilities, Leisure club. Luxury Spa due open in early 2005.

The golf course was designed by Ireland’s most famous golfer, Christy O’Connor Jnr, who said “Rarely after a first look around a potential site for a golf course had I been so impressed as at Mount Wolseley”. There are no easy holes, with wide landing areas the only concession to demanding approach shots to almost every green. Water is in play on eleven holes. A round of golf at Mount Wolseley is always a treat to remember for golfers who enjoy a challenging game in what is a memorable and historic location.
