Nairn Dunbar Golf Club occupies a sheltered stretch of linksland on the eastern side of Nairn, close to the Moray Firth. Founded in 1899, its fairways wind between low dunes and thick gorse, creating a secluded atmosphere with occasional views of the coast and distant Highland hills.

Choosing the right line from the tee is essential, as the gorse tightens many landing areas and bunkers complicate the route into the greens. The fast turf also invites golfers to feed the ball along the ground and make use of natural slopes. Quiet, traditional and varied, Nairn Dunbar offers an engaging alternative to its better-known neighbours.
