The Torrance Course at Fairmont St Andrews crosses open clifftop ground overlooking the Fife coast and North Sea. Wide playing corridors are balanced by substantial bunkering and broad greens, giving the course the scale and presence expected of a modern tournament venue.
Its exposed position allows the wind to shape every round, particularly across the closing holes as the course turns towards sweeping views of St Andrews. Having staged several professional events, the Torrance provides a strong examination of driving, approach play and judgement. It combines championship demands with the distinctive scenery of Scotland’s east coast.
