Gullane No. 3 is the shortest of the club’s three courses, but its compact layout provides a lively and entertaining test. Set on the lower slopes of Gullane Hill, it offers attractive views across the East Lothian countryside and towards the waters of the Firth of Forth.
Small greens, tight approaches and numerous bunkers place greater importance on precision than distance. The rolling ground produces a wide variety of lies, while the coastal breeze can make even the shorter holes difficult to judge. Approachable for less experienced golfers yet demanding enough to challenge skilled players, Gullane No. 3 is an enjoyable and rewarding example of classic links golf.
