Littlestone Golf Club (Championship Course)

Littlestone’s Championship Course stretches along the Kent coast between Romney Marsh and the English Channel, occupying natural linksland characterised by rolling dunes and firm sandy ground. Founded in 1888, the course has evolved through the work of William Laidlaw Purves, David Herd, James Braid and Dr Alister MacKenzie.

The relatively open landscape places considerable emphasis on wind management, while firm fairways and subtle contours encourage golfers to use the ground rather than relying solely on aerial shots. The greens are generally well protected, with bunkering and natural slopes creating demanding approaches. Having hosted Open Championship Final Qualifying, Littlestone retains the traditional character and strategic interest of a classic English links.
