Royal Aberdeen Golf Club’s Balgownie Links is one of Scotland’s oldest and most distinguished courses. Founded in 1780, the club occupies a magnificent stretch of coastline north of Aberdeen, with the opening nine weaving through deep dune valleys beside the sea before the course turns inland.

The contrasting back nine crosses higher, more open ground, where little shelter is available from the wind. Firm turf, revetted bunkers and well-defended greens demand controlled ball flight and careful placement from the tee. Historic, exacting and beautifully shaped by its surroundings, Balgownie provides a classic test of links golf.
