The Ailsa Course at Turnberry occupies a magnificent stretch of Ayrshire coastline overlooking the Firth of Clyde. Its routing approaches the rocky shoreline and historic lighthouse, with views extending towards Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran and the distant Mull of Kintyre.
Dramatic carries across coastal inlets, deep bunkers and exposed greens place considerable demands on shot selection, particularly when the wind strengthens. The holes surrounding the lighthouse form the heart of the course, where golf, history and landscape come together. Refined through a major renovation and steeped in Open Championship heritage, the Ailsa offers one of Scotland’s most spectacular rounds.
