The King Robert the Bruce Course at Turnberry moves across rolling inland terrain before reaching a striking stretch beside the Ayrshire shoreline. From its elevated holes, golfers enjoy wide views towards Ailsa Craig, Arran and the Turnberry lighthouse, with the sea providing a dramatic backdrop.

Heather-covered banks, deep bunkers and frequent changes in level bring plenty of variety to the round. Wider fairways offer a little more freedom from the tee, although angled greens and carefully chosen hazards still require good judgement. Scenic and enjoyable without lacking challenge, the course is an excellent companion to the celebrated Ailsa.
