Walton Heath Golf Club

Walton Heath lies across a broad expanse of open Surrey heathland, where deep heather, sandy ground and mature vegetation frame two championship courses. Founded in 1903, both the Old and New Courses were designed by Herbert Fowler, with the Old Course opening in 1904.

The Old Course is particularly notable for its firm, springy fairways and large, fast greens, while the extensive heather creates a constant hazard for inaccurate shots. The opening holes provide an immediate examination of driving and positioning, before the course opens into a varied sequence of heathland holes with numerous changes in direction. The combination of natural terrain, strategic bunkering and strong championship history gives Walton Heath a distinctly traditional Surrey character.
